Assessment

All of our services include a comprehensive assessment, which comprises a detailed history of your condition and a thorough physical assessment of your strength, movement and functional abilities to assess your impairments.

·

In discussion with you, your Physiotherapist will identify what goals are important to you and will set up an individualised program targeted to achieve your goals. These could be anything important and specific to you whether you are wanting to improve your walking quality, physical function, balance, pain, or just stay strong at home.

·

Along with therapy and exercise, your physiotherapist can also provide education and support and training to personal carers and can assist with sourcing equipment if required.

·

Your mobile therapy can take place in your home, local park, local shopping centre, nursing home, local pool etc, anywhere where you’d like to achieve your goals (pending access approvals).

Clinical Exercise and Pilates

Clinical Exercise and Pilates

Your Physiotherapist is trained in using Clinical Pilates, which is a whole-body exercise method incorporating both strengthening and flexibility exercises that focuses on the coordination of the body and mind.

One of the key principles of the Pilates method of exercise is that all movements come from the foundation of strong core muscles in the body, which are essential for our balance, stability and control.

Another key principle of Clinical Pilates is that exercises are performed using specific directions and breathing patterns in order to assist in movements, improve lung capacity and facilitate relaxation, focus and control.
